The job:

You will play a critical supporting role in the overall marketing organization. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will work closely with the Director and Executive Director across all campaigns and marketing communications. You will function as a liaison within the marketing team and external groups such as sales, digital account management, creative design, native, production, and edit. You have exceptional oral and verbal communication skills. A strategic thinker who is solutions-focused, you have the ability to set priorities within tight deadlines. You must also be process oriented and able to effectively and efficiently streamline communications. You take a creative approach with a marketing lens when developing client proposals. You’re adaptable and ready to thrive in a startup culture that believes in the value of iteration, evolution, and collaboration. And last, but not least, you have a passion for news and the TIME brand.

 

Your responsibilities:

Manage and update marketing materials/templates:

  • Ensure all proposals and other supporting materials are completed on schedule and delivered to client/agency on time
  • Maintain database of all pitch materials broken out by category and advertiser 
  • Collaborate with TIME’s research manager to ensure materials are updated with research, category and competitive landscape insights
  • Manage and templatize pricing and packaging process for all programs

Support TIME’s Marketing Director by tracking the status and performance of all campaigns:

  • Produce a weekly update of all campaigns in the pipeline
  • Create and maintain a database of post-campaign case-studies providing program overviews and program performance
  • Create and maintain a database of post-campaign case-studies providing program  

 

Your responsibilities:

  • B.A. or equivalent, ideally in marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of marketing experience at an advertising agency or at a media company in marketing, creative or media function (preferably news org)
  • Advanced knowledge of all media platforms and ad prodcuts– digital, social, mobile, video & print
  • Team player with the ability to effectively prioritize and coordinate projects and communications across multifunctional teams
  • Exceptional copy editing and copywriting skills
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workload in a fast-paced environment with grace
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs, PowerPoint/KeyNote and Excel and other project management tools.
