Meredith Performance Marketing (MPM) is seeking an exceptionally talented Software Engineer to join our Boston-based tech team. Qualified candidates will work with highly experienced team leads to explore and develop new technologies that utilize machine learning to solve problems and enhance MPM’s best-in-class marketing technology platform. You'll be part of a small, fast-paced engineering team with big ambitions and the backing of a digital media powerhouse.
In this role, you will:
Develop and maintain an Analytics and Business Intelligence GUI with a Python/MySQL back end
Develop and maintain a Python-based reporting and optimization back end, including integrations with Google Adwords, Bing Ads, and Facebook Marketing
Develop and maintain a Python-based phone and message routing platform utilizing Twilio
Develop and maintain a Python-based self-optimizing ad server
Develop and maintain predictive lead optimization services
Enhance business efficiency through the creation of new process automation and tools for business users
Produce scalable, robust, readable code in a reasonable timeframe
Collaborative, and enjoy working in a team-environment with both technical and non-technical people
Detail-oriented, thorough, a problem-solver, and a multi-tasker
Able to demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new technologies and concepts quickly
Mindful of the business, and take into consideration the impact of engineering decisions
Able to approach decision-making in a scientific manner
Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Boston area
degree in Computer Science, related subject, or equivalent work experience
4+ years of experience with Python
2+ years of experience with SQL (MySQL preferred)
2+ years working in a Linux environment
Ability to understand complex business requirements and provide technical solutions
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Machine learning, cloud computing, and/or front-end development experience all a plus
