The Job: Sales Assistant - TIME
This position reports into the Sales Directors at TIME. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to expand their career in the sales/marketing field. Ideal candidate will have the ability to meet deadlines in an extremely fast paced environment by multi-tasking, prioritizing and utilizing crystal clear communication skills to manage three direct reports & varying business needs. Candidate must be highly motivated as well as possess strong organizational skills, be proficient in digital and social media and be able to problem solve. Previous work experience and passion for digital media and publishing a plus.
Provide administrative support to the sales directors as necessary including day to day maintenance of TIME’s advertising business, coordinating meetings, answering phones, booking travel and managing expense reports.
Help prepare each sales person for sales calls by providing brand overviews, historical ad spending, & competitive trends
Submit research requests and compile reports/presentations based on research findings.
Assist with campaign management (i.e. coordinate with Ad Operations, Production, Billing and Marketing).
Prepare sales materials, presentations, and maintain agency/client contact database.
Help organize client events & entertainment.
Track sales requests and update sales opportunities as needed; manage & process ad contracts.
Become proficient with all Meredith internal online resources (i.e. The Well, SalesPlan, BOSS, Travel and Expense website).
