TIME for Kids is seeking an Associate Curriculum Editor for its weekly current events magazine, which is used in elementary- and middle-school classrooms. The associate curriculum editor will be involved in all aspects of creating content for the Teacher’s Guides and digital teaching resources, including lesson plans, student worksheets, and assessment materials.
Pitch, research, and write compelling lessons that support magazine content and teach media literacy to an elementary- and middle-school audience
Collaborate with our designers to develop engaging teaching content
Handle various administrative duties for the senior curriculum editor, including managing and updating spreadsheets; researching innovative teaching strategies; and collecting and analyzing survey results from teachers.

Two plus years of experience writing and editing as a curriculum writer or journalist. Writing and editing for students a plus.
An awareness of education and the role of informational text in the classroom
An undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism or education.
Experience using Adobe InCopy and InDesign, WordPress, and Excel or Google Sheets
