MONEY seeks a reporter to cover the world of personal finance through a data-driven lens. The candidate with have experience using numbers, graphs, and charts to augment their reporting and will pitch ideas with this in mind. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable in working with data-driven rankings for enterprise packages like “best of” lists that get national coverage. Daily responsibilities include: pitch and write original stories for MONEY.com, write news stories, and work on tentpole packages.
Pitch and write original stories that explain the world of personal finance through data
Use data to explain to MONEY readers how personal finance works in the modern world
Contribute to MONEY’s enterprise features like “Best Banks,” “Best Credit Cards,” “Best Colleges” and “Best Places to Live”
Write breaking news stories as needed
3-5 years of reporting experience
