Food & Wine, a lifestyle super-brand that delivers expertly curated content to discerning consumers, is looking for a whip-smart, energetic Digital Reporter/Writer to create sharp, entertaining, visually robust content for foodandwine.com and the brand’s social media channels. The candidate must be able to quickly report stories, write clean copy, make data-based editorial decisions and package content for maximum impact on multiple platforms. This digital staffer will collaborate closely with the audience engagement lead to drive the most traffic and engagement to each story produced.
Find, report and write five food, wine, travel and lifestyle stories per day
Create smart, entertaining, shareable lists and galleries from F&W’s recipe library
Support Food & Wine’s digital staff by creating content for tentpole campaigns
Make sure all posts have proper SEO and social headlines for maximum visibility
Translate real-time analytics into action
Collaborate with photographers, writers and video producers
Cultivate syndication opportunities with other Time Inc. brands
Make media appearances and appear in video produced for the site
One to three years of experience in a fast-paced digital editorial department
An aggressive appetite for creating viral content
Experience targeting stories for social media, search and other platforms
Experience using Chartbeat, Social Flow and other data sources to inform strategic practices
Ability to self-edit
A strong visual sensibility (photography skills a plus)
Self-motivated and self-sufficient
Happy and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
