RealSimple.com is seeking an Assistant Producer who is highly motivated and interested in a range of lifestyle topics (from home design and cooking to beauty products and fashion). Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Assistant Producer will work alongside the editorial team to assist with producing daily, weekly, and monthly content, with an eye toward engagement, traffic, and user experience. The Assistant Producer plays a major role in the day-to-day execution of RealSimple.com’s online strategy, working to ensure the content is consistently updated and of service to our readers.
Assist with multiple production assignments in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Assemble copy, photos, and videos to produce articles and photo galleries
Program the home page and edit hubs
Trouble-shoot website and CMS issues and perform user acceptance testing on new sites features and product launches
Proficient in Photoshop and understand file formats, sizing, and DPI, basic image work (cropping, resizing, adding canvas), editing (image adjustment, color-correction), and silhouetting images.
