We are looking for an Editorial Assistant to work in the Los Angeles Bureau for InStyle Magazine and In Style.com. The focus will be primarily on Entertainment, but there is some fashion, beauty and misc lifestyle involved. Duties include creating and updating charts on television and other Entertainment fields, helping with InStyle events, various administrative tasks and some writing, reporting and social media posting. Some knowledge of and experience in the field of entertainment or entertainment journalism is a plus as is an interest in pop culture. We are seeking an outgoing, multi tasker with a positive attitude who is not afraid to work hard and go the extra mile.
Oversee our Television Chart, keeping it updated with new shows, stars and dates
Write a daily Report on Entertainment News using the Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline and others as sources
Keep our data base current with contacts for actors, managers, agents, press etc.
Help with InStyle events, including creating guests lists, taking rsvps and requests, working at check in and more
Possibly reporting/writing posts for InStyle.com depending on experience
Various administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, fielding calls, ordering supplies, mailings etc
Experienced: We’re looking for someone with one to two years of experience, including internships, in the editorial or related sphere—specifically with some knowledge of the entertainment business.

Thorough: You are detail oriented and see tasks and projects through to their completion.
