The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with writing experience for online video content who can take a leading role in developing, creating, and producing unique story ideas. We’re looking for a creative candidate who is inquisitive, reliable, thorough, detail oriented, self-motivated, prodigious, and comfortable working both independently and with our talented team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Research, develop, and create original scripts content specifically for digital video
Collaborate and brainstorm with department leaders in the ideation, planning, and execution of original digital content
Manage the distribution and promotion of digital video content on FanSided’s social media accounts
Be up to date on the current state and trends of the sports and entertainment world
Experience as a digital writer/editor/creator
Excellent communication skills
College degree or equivalent education and experience
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Background in one of the following: communications, marketing, journalism, history, or screenwriting
Minimum of one year of similar work experience
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment with changing priorities
Strong understand on current sports and entertainment storylines
Self-sufficient, motivated to excel, well-organized
Experience working with Adobe Premier, Photoshop, After Effects
Ability to be on-camera in various roles, from voice overs to interviews to talking head videos
