The Books Marketing Coordinator supports the direct continuity book business using quantitative direct marketing tools across print and digital channels. This support includes, but is not limited to assisting with the management of marketing efforts such as direct mail, magazine cross-promotion, and email campaigns; maintaining schedules and project lists; assisting with financial and other reporting; working with external vendors to keep all fulfillment activities on schedule.
Essential Job Functions
New Business Promotions – 40%
Work with key internal and external contacts (including creative/design, editorial, list management, analytics, and production/operations) to execute multiple marketing campaigns throughout the year for branded books which include Southern Living, Better Homes & Gardens, Food & Wine, and Family Circle.
Project Coordination – 30%
Create and maintain schedules for customer notifications, book shipments, direct mail, magazine cross-sell efforts, email campaigns, and insert/upsell promotions. Frequently update results, projections, and plans and distribute to all key stakeholders. Assist in the management and execution of marketing and fulfillment efforts across multiple marketing programs.
Reporting/Analysis – 30%
Assist with tracking and reporting of promotional efforts as well as financial analysis of programs, and update budget models as required. Verify accuracy of vendor invoices and coordinate timely payment.
Monitor book and marketing materials inventory levels for assigned programs. Assist in preparation of presentations.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements |All must be met to be considered.
Ba/BS in marketing, business, or related field; or equivalent training or experience
Minimum 1-year related project coordination/management support - ideally in book/magazine marketing
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.

Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
