The Social Media Director will report to the Digital Content Manager and will be responsible for assigning and executing on all social media platforms, including live video. S/he will work with the editors of Cooking Light, Food & Wine, and My Recipes to execute on social. The Social Media Director will pitch ideas to the respective site editors and may occasionally write for each site, as needed to support social. S/he will direct the site editorial teams to execute on social platforms and will be the main point of contact for social analytics. Our Social Media guru.
Direct the Social Media team to strategize and execute the brand’s presence across all platforms.
Help grow the brand’s social media followers and referrals to our website.
Create, produce, and optimize content for use across social media channels including possible on camera live.
Be up for any project, from writing photo captions to resizing images and producing galleries.
Brainstorm and execute innovative new social strategies, test new platforms, and expand social monetization opportunities.
Experienced: Have 3-5 year of professional experience in social media. Must have experience working in FB Insights, Pars.ly, Brightcove and Social Flow. Shareablee, Omniture and DCMS a plus
Skilled: Master of visual communication with excellent writing skills and editorial judgment.
Creative: Love brainstorming new ideas, have a sharp eye, and can create your own graphics/shoot video.
Social: Excellent interpersonal skills.
A Team Leader: Available for social support as needed on evenings and weekends or whenever duties call.
