The Coordinator maintains daily contact and communications with all 12 international editions of InStyle: Germany, Australia, Korea, Greece, Spain, Russia, Turkey, Turkey Home, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, Taiwan and China. The ideal candidate is organized, articulate, professional, proactive, able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills – both speaking and writing - are a must.
Clear and negotiate international rights and fees for all photos and illustrations picked up from US InStyle (print and digital)
Create a monthly cost out report of photo fees for all international editions
Prepare monthly usage reports detailing the percentage of US content used in all international editions (print and digital)
Prepare and send invoice requests to photographers and photo agencies for all photo reuse
Communicate with Finance Department regarding cost out reports, outstanding invoices, and invoice processing
Review all international layouts containing US content before going to print
Review all international editions after publication
Oversee all updates to international story lists
Maintain International Cover & Story list chart
Work with department Manager on Cover story pick-ups and photo clearances
Experienced working with and/or negotiating with photographers, photo agencies, and/or syndication divisions (newspapers, magazines, television) and have a minimum of 2 years doing so.
Proactive, organized, detail oriented and a self-starter with excellent communication skills (oral and written). Foreign language that relates to any of the above markets is a plus.
Someone who can work independently, but also works well within a group and can help prioritize projects.
Able to work under pressure and switch gears quickly in order to respond to staff and customer requests with efficiency
A candidate with excellent computer skills -- Mac OS, MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency.
