Time Inc. is looking for an Affiliate/Ecommerce Editorial Lead to help form a new central team of editors that will create commerce content to be distributed across all of Time Inc.’s brands. This role requires someone with creativity and vision, who can identify opportunities to provide Time Inc’s 135 mm monthly users with content that inspires them to make informed, qualified purchases. The role sits centrally, requiring the desk lead to coordinate with the digital editors at each of the brands across the Time Inc. portfolio, including People, InStyle, Travel & Leisure, Time, Real Simple, Money and Sports Illustrated.
This position will report into the Senior Digital Director of Lifestyle on the editorial team, and dotted line into the VP of Affiliate Revenue & Strategy.
Demonstrate experience and interest in creating commerce content for users along all stages of their purchasing journey (from browsing to researching and making a purchase)
Build and manage the newly created affiliate desk team, consisting of upwards of 10 dedicated writers/producers focusing on affiliate content.
Identify content verticals and areas of focus for editorial team.
Use data and analytics to manage towards monthly revenue goals, including working with:
Merchandiser team to identify product/retailer opportunities
Audience development team to identify traffic benchmarks and requirements
SEO team for long term/evergreen opportunities
Run editorial desk meetings to assign commerce content/promotion/coverage across brands.
Edit content coming from the central commerce team
Comfortable working in a fast paced and matrixed organization – Time Inc. has 23 brands that work on commerce and you will need to work with all of them

Experienced. You have 5+ years working in an editorial capacity in digital media, and an understanding of how to assign, package, and distribute compelling content to generate traffic for various audiences.
