Senior Software Engineer - Back End

Analyze, design, develop, deploy, test and debug complex, scalable enterprise computer applications that are critical to core business function relating to digital ordering and customer engagement solutions using service-oriented Java technologies (i.e., Core Java, Collections, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, JSON & JUNIT). Build Java programs that execute in a high-availability, high-throughput batch environment. Build and customize software solutions. Develop web applications, services and integrating different enterprise applications in a scalable and reusable manner. Utilize various application servers, such as Tomcat in order to implement proposed solutions. Design and develop reusable libraries and APIs. Utilize various application integration techniques to communicate with third-party and legacy/back-end systems. Lead complex projects through complete software development life cycle. Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies, accounting for cost effectiveness, security, scalability, and reliability. Deliver complex enterprise-level integration applications capable of handling a large volume of data to meet key performance indicators and service-level agreements. Make high-level decisions, working independently without supervision or as a team player, as required. Identify, implement and refine proactive application- and system-monitoring tools to enable the company to provide the highest level of service possible. Evaluate and recommend new frameworks and technologies to improve business processes and customer experience. Collaborate with external business partners. Coach/mentor associate-level engineers and be a technical lead on the team. Other duties as directed or required. Ability to communicate effectively in English, with good verbal and written skills.
