SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

AGILE/SCRUM ENVIRONMENT; EXPERIENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF WEB AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS IS REQUIRED

High-level…

As a Tillster Senior PM, you are the primary internal, boots on the ground, project team lead driving and managing cross-functional teams, across multiple geographic borders to achieve successful delivery of multiple Tillster solutions. Daily, you will effectively balance strategic issues with day-to-day tactical delivery operations. 

 

Down in the weeds…

  • Manage day-to-day strategic and operational aspects of a portfolio of concurrent customer projects of varying sizes, complexity and scope, from inception through delivery, within an Agile/Scrum environment, ensuring all project milestones are met and that the project is delivered on schedule with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Develop, document, manage and maintain project schedules, scope, change management and outcome variances; creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint/release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks by drawing upon appropriate resources
  • Ensure advance preparation for all project meetings, as well as appropriate follow-up (e.g. prepare agendas, ensure pre-reads are available, promptly complete meeting minutes, organize and archive materials)
  • Develop and implement tools and processes that support the achievement of project goals, as well as timely and effective communication of progress and challenges to all stakeholders
  • Work with internal functional teams to establish effective processes and reporting tools to enable successful deliveries and cooperation
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Communicate with executive sponsor, sales/account management, product and other key stakeholders as appropriate to flag project concerns, resource issues and seek guidance and support as to resolution
  • Lead post project delivery reviews on all projects and incorporate learning into future projects
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement for project delivery, execution, and overall effectiveness; recommend alternate approaches leading to enhanced project and team effectiveness, and client satisfaction

 
About you…

  • 7+ years of successful product level project management experience, including direct customer-facing experience
  • 5+ years of successful experience managing multiple project and portfolio methodologies, including waterfall, Agile, hybrid methodologies, and SDLC
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, business or related field
  • Proven ability to effectively scope and document requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of implementation methodologies, operations, and technologies
  • Working knowledge of at least one of the following business areas: retail point of sale; restaurant operations; call center/customer service; business analytics
  • Team player who will work within the company to continue improving the way Tillster serves its customers
  • Combination of business experience, technical project management skills,and a willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves and get it done
  • Demonstrated expertise in popular project management tools including MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, and Jira
  • Excellent organization, time management, communication, and multi-tasking skills working in an extremely fast-paced, time-critical environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment; balance working remotely and onsite; measure implementation effectiveness andsuccess against client business objectives/ROI
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis
