The UX Designer will partner with key team members to design and build the world-class connected analytics and intelligence product as well as enrich user experience and improve productivity for our enterprise customers. This is a high impact role at a high-growth startup in Redwood City, California.
Key responsibilities:  
  • Understand and translate business requirements to shape the UI design for rapid prototypes, customer proof-of-concepts, and the final product
  • Refine, decompose and translate a specification and its logic into an interactive user logic design, and implement using visual layout tools to create prototypes, mockups, wireframes, and user interface roadmaps
  • Conduct user experience research and recommend industry trend
  • Review software interface requirements and design, and create UI/UX designs
  • Bring UI/UX best practices in enterprise software and identify opportunities to apply them effectively
  • Communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams including executives, product managers, customers, developers, and partners
  • Write minimal front-end code in prototypes or POCs (nice to have)
What we are looking for:
  • 5+ years of extensive hands-on UX design experience in enterprise software environment, preferably in business analytics, business intelligence, etc
  • Demonstrated excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction in enterprise software
  • Significant demonstrated experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Significant demonstrated experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools (InVision, Axure, Sketch, Adobe Suite, etc.)
  • Significant demonstrated experience in conducting user research and evaluating user feedback
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong influencer and consensus builder, able to interact and work effectively with all team members at various levels
  • Strong proven cross-team leadership and ability to think outside of the box
  • Passionate about all things about UI/UX and other areas of design and innovation, and a strong advocate for promoting user experience across all products
  • Experience in or exposure to JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, and XML
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with one or more popular JavaScript Frameworks like AngularJS, React, VueJS, jQuery, BackboneJS, KnockoutJS, EmberJS, etc
  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, information science, computer science, visual design, communications, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus
