THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER

  • Take the technical leadership for the team's services, which form a core part of revenue generation and serve millions of customers
  • Ensure technical quality and manage technical debt
  • Advise product managers and stakeholders on technical feasibility 
  • Coordinate projects with other teams

YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of decent Python experience
  • Know well Django or FastAPI, we use either or
  • Any experience in these techs would be great: Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka/RabbitMQ, GitHub, CircleCI, DataDog, Prometheus & Terraform
  • Understand how to build a system that can support millions of active users per day
  • Good grasp of Zero-Downtime deployment and migration strategies
  • Confident with TDD, we are not dogmatic but we write a lot of tests
  • Bonus - Knowing "import this" and having an opinion towards the walrus operator ;)

The Pricing team strives to make the Pricing Manager experience as smooth as possible. You and your team will be responsible for our smart pricing algorithms, ML models, and rules-based pricing engine. All that builds a dynamic pricing model that has to be accurate and efficient. As good margins are key to our success, you will have the support of and work closely with colleagues from the Pricing, Growth, and Data Products teams.
