Role: Revenue Operations & Strategy Manager / Director

Manager: Head of Strategic Finance and Analytics

Role Summary:  

We are looking for an individual to build out and continually improve Tia’s revenue cycle function. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the financial success of a high-growth startup. As the Manager / Director of Revenue, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative solutions that maximize revenue, delight our members, and ensure the financial health of our business. You will lead the development of the revenue cycle team and partner cross-functionally to drive process improvement across submissions, billings, and collections.

What You’ll Do 

  • Own end-to-end revenue cycle operations to maximize net revenue and cash collections and minimize time to collect
  • Work to ensure timely and correct claim submission, and maange and resolve submission issues 
  • Manage, continually enhance, and automate process with the billing team to collect on outstanding patient balances
  • Establish a precise understanding of Tia’s payer collections and processes for denials management 
  • Set the standard for claim documentation, and hold providers accountable to delivering against those guidelines 
  • Create and maintain KPI dashboards across the revenue cycle to keep a pulse on top-line revenue, service mix, claim processing, patient and payer collections, and time collect 
  • Perform deep-dive analytics to diagnose areas of opportunity and develop data-based strategies to drive improvement across the revenue cycle
  • Be a thought leader for Tia on revenue-optimizing strategies across new service line launches and market entry
  • Manage the outsourced medical billers to ensure that claims are effectively processed, paid, and coded to maximize collections
  • Work with the technology team to ensure that we are building an automatable and efficient system for billing 

About you: 

  • 5+ years experience in revenue cycle management
  • Past experience in management consulting or  healthcare startup environment
  • Masters in Business Administration, Health Care Management or Public Health preferred
  • Revenue Cycle Expert - Deep experience managing and reporting on claims from submission to conclusion, working denials, and resolving claims submission issues
  • Systems thinker - Able to identify and untangle operational dysfunction and create effective cross-functional workflows
  • Data oriented - Able to quickly understand and synthesize large data sets into meaningful trends and metrics that communicate health of the business

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience with SQL and BI tools (Metabase, Tableau, etc) preferred 
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in A/R management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Comfort with technology development and data structures a plus
