Regional Sales Director (Aligned to CBS, RCG, MAE)

Location: United States - Remote (prefer Salesforce Markets, ie San Francisco/Bay Area, New York, Atlanta)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Director to lead and mentor our team of Client Directors (Account Executives) in pursuing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Salesforce technology, possess a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and have a deep understanding of the consulting landscape. As a Regional Sales Director, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our firm by coaching and guiding the sales team members aligned to our CBS, RCG, and MAE verticals.

“Day in the Life”

  • 1:1 Coaching with Direct Reports (Sales Forecasting, Deal Strategy/Review/Management, Reporting, and KPI Management)
  • Executive Outreach to Salesforce and Clients (Presenting, Hosting Events)
  • Traveling 1-2x/month at minimum
  • Partnering with Delivery Practice Leads to execute on Bookings Goals
  • Partnering with Corporate Marketing on lead generation, events, and strategic campaigns specific to CBS, RCG, and MAE
  • Recurring meetings around overall Sales Team, Forecasting, SOPs, and Hiring Syncs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Execution: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of 7-8 Account Executives to achieve and exceed sales targets while managing their long-term career and performance goals.
  • Execute Thunder’s current Sales Playbook while contributing to refinement and any changes that align with company growth goals and objectives.
  • Adhering to enterprise sales methodology, facilitating ongoing training and professional development for account executives to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Pipeline Generation: Ensure AEs hit and exceed targets, MOM.
  • Identify and target prospective clients in CBS, RCG, and MAE that can benefit from Salesforce implementation and consulting services.
  • Lean on and expand your network in the Salesforce ecosystem to help source new logos.
  • Generate creative plays and run company campaigns.
  • Closing Business: Hit and Exceed aggregate quota targets MOM.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in the pre-sales cycle to create compelling proposals and project scopes.
  • Provide guidance and support during negotiations, ensuring that contracts are strategically aligned and mutually beneficial.
  • Monitor market trends, the competitive landscape, and industry developments to adjust the team's strategy accordingly. Attend RYG calls consistently.
  • Deliver regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management, showcasing team progress and areas for improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and expand the network.
  • Customer Relationships & Growth: Build and nurture strong, long-lasting client relationships, serving as a role model for effective relationship-building.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental outreach with Account Executives and ensure communication with Account RVP to find growth opportunities
  • Establish monthly cadence with the account executive sponsor as the project continues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of at least 6-8+ years in B2B sales, specifically in Salesforce Implementation Services with a Salesforce Consulting Partner, with at least 2-4+ consecutive years of success spent in leadership or managerial roles.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce products, services, and their applications within various industries (particularly CBS, RCG, and MAE).
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving environment, with a passion for continuing to build and scale within a start-up.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, manage complex sales cycles, and drive team performance.
  • Strategic thinker who can identify market trends and adapt the team's strategy accordingly.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required (minimum 1-2 times a month).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
