Senior Client Director - Amazon Connect (Sr. Account Executive)

Location: Remote, United States (Preferred Markets: Seattle, Austin, New York)

Summary

Thunder is thrilled to continue expanding our strategic partnership with AWS, and we’re looking for a dynamic Senior Client Director to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will be at the forefront of our collaboration with Amazon, leveraging our expertise in Amazon Connect, Service Cloud Voice, and Salesforce solutions to drive Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) innovation and deliver transformative value to our clients.

As a seasoned technical seller, you’ll combine your deep technical knowledge and consultative sales skills to forge strong relationships within Amazon and customers, positioning Thunder as a trusted partner in optimizing customer engagement platforms. This is a unique opportunity for a self-starter to be at the forefront of building Thunder’s Amazon Connect practice and AWS partnership. 

We seek dedicated Services sellers who:  

  • Bring a successful track record of solution selling within the Amazon partner ecosystem, and credibility with a deep POV of CCaaS within varying verticals 
  • Are a lead-gen engine and strive to surpass their metrics
  • Are passionate about building relationships, and collaboratively solves problems with customers and channel partners alike 
  • Understand how to credibly scope consulting deals from a technical lens and work closely with project/engagement teams who are delivering the scope of work sold 
  • Demonstrate Thunder’s core values by leading with transparency, empathy, ownership and adaptability - with a good dose of grit! 

“Day to Day” Role + Responsibilities

  • Sell Thunder’s best-in-class Amazon Connect multi-cloud implementation and managed services offerings
  • Hit and exceed expected Sales metrics, to include conducting at least 4 meaningful meetings a day
  • Partner with clients within varying verticals, serving as a trusted advisor, creating and executing tailored business plans for consistent sales engagement process
  • Interact strategically with the sales teams at Amazon and their partners to establish new business relationships 
  • Develop account strategy according to Thunder Sales Playbook, in partnership with practice leaders
  • Target, nurture, and grow key/buyer influencer relationships
  • Execute successful delivery hand-off by onboarding consultants thoroughly at the start of new projects
  • Ensure quality and client satisfaction via high-value touchpoints throughout projects
  • Partner consistently with Thunder Delivery leaders for successful sales outcomes  
  • Update key activities in Salesforce CRM daily and keep pipeline deals accurately updated per the Thunder Sales playbook

Required Qualifications

  • 4-5+ years’ experience selling product and services into Contact Centers and/or selling services into the Amazon ecosystem, with a strong reputation with Amazon stakeholders and teams
  • In depth knowledge of Amazon Connect platform capabilities
  • Experience in driving Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) transformations
  • Consultative selling approach with the ability to position Amazon Connect value drivers to business and technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of Generative AI concepts used to optimize Agent and Customer experience via smart IVR, chatbots, assistants, etc.
  • Best-in-class communication and strategic presentation skills (ex. deck creation, thought leadership) 
  • Winning record of overachievement on sales goals and accountability to metrics
  • Appetite for learning new skills and developing new knowledge sets
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Proficient with technology + productivity tools
    • Current Thunder Sales tech stack: Salesforce CRM, Gong, Asana, Certinia (PSA) 
  • Preferred Qualifications: 
    • Amazon Connect Certification(s)
    • Sales Methodology training/certification 

Salary Range: This role offers a competitive salary range for new hires of $128,000 - $165,000 base salary. This is a "50/50" sales compensation plan, and the salary range is just one component of the total compensation package - which will also include variable/incentive pay (commissions) and stock options - and will be commensurate with job-relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
