Accounts Payable Sr. Specialist
Location: Remote - Philippines, Greater Manila only
Shift: Nightshift (9pm - 6am PH)
Department: Finance
Reporting to: Jen Keller, Controller
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a seasoned finance professional with a proven track record in Accounts Payable roles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing accounts payable and purchasing processes for both US and Philippine entities and a deep understanding of financial regulations and best practices in both countries. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and leadership abilities are also crucial, as the role requires effective collaboration across departments and with senior management.
Roles + Responsibilities
Reporting to the company Controller the Accounts Payable Sr. Specialist will hold responsibility for:
- Oversee accounts payable operations for both US and Philippine entities.
- Review, approve, and manage invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports; ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Complete month-end adjustments for accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of expense coding.
- Manage corporate credit card system and reconcile weekly statements.
- Assist Controller with new expense and travel management platform implementations.
- Provide accurate and updated information for cash forecasting.
- Maintain and update vendor profile and contact information.
- Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable functions.
- Collaborate with different departments and senior management to streamline processes.
- Utilize accounting software and CRM systems effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes in both regions.
- Support other ad-hoc projects and work as required including continual process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable roles.
- Exposure to Salesforce CRM Software.
- Experience with implementing a new payables or expense management platform.
- High proficiency with MS Excel.
- Familiarity with GSuite/Google Docs/Google Sheets Product Suite.
- Prior experience with reporting in Quickbooks online.
- Prior experience with payables analysis for cash forecasting.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
