IT Support Specialist

Location: Remote/Work from Home - Manila Metro Area, Philippines

Employment Type: Full-time

Thunder is seeking a talented IT Support Specialist to join our team in the Manila metro area, providing friendly technical support to our Thunder team, and ensuring smooth IT operations across our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to employees, addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist with software installations and updates, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Perform routine system maintenance and backups to ensure data security and system reliability.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and manage IT assets.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in IT support or technical assistance.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common office software (e.g., G Suite/Google Workspace).
  • Exposure to Cybersecurity compliance (Soc-2, GDPR, CCPA, for example).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular office hours as required - specifically US Time Zone hours. 
  • Knowledge of IT security practices and data protection.
