As an Enterprise Architect at Thoughtworks, you'll be a champion for modern technology and a key driver of client success. You'll collaborate closely with clients to understand their business goals and translate them into actionable technology strategies.

Job responsibilities
- Define and evolve living architecture documents that adapt to changing needs and advocate agile architecture practices in engineering teams like living architecture documents, and “just enough” architecture.
- Work iteratively with agile engineering teams to provide strategic guidance for enterprise level initiatives like modernizing technology platforms, migrating existing workloads to cloud or adopting engineering platforms.
- Partner with client stakeholders to assess business strategies and translate them into business architecture models. Also develop and champion guiding principles and patterns for technology decision-making.
- Support client architects and portfolio managers in technology roadmap creation, including build/buy/rent evaluations using an objective and data-driven approach.
- Conduct assessments of technology landscapes with objectives of finding modernization opportunities and automation.
- Leverage expertise in Domain-Driven Design, modern application architecture practices ( event-driven, microservices, devops), security, data architectures, and cloud services to guide modernization initiatives.
- Champion DevOps principles, advocating for pipelines, containerization, observability, and CI/CD practices.
- Coach and influence others by promoting modern platform architecture principles. Upskill Thoughtworks team members on EA practices and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Clearly communicate technical decisions to a diverse audience through different sync & async channels, build consensus and articulate the value of technology choices.
- Develop and evolve technology strategies aligned with business objectives. Manage priorities and make data-driven technology decisions in dynamic environments.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- Should have atleast 12+ years of experience
- Expertise in business architecture, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, and technology assessment.
- Strong understanding of modern application engineering practices, security practices, data architectures, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
- While Thoughtworks emphasizes a less rigid approach, familiarity with established Enterprise Architecture frameworks can provide a solid foundation. Here are some examples: TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework), FEAF( Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework)
- Architecture modeling tools and methodologies like ArchiMate, BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation), SysML (Systems Modeling language) and UML.
