About the Role

We’re looking for a tech-savvy Product Manager to join Thoropass as we look to expand our Product team and create a best-in-class tool for security compliance management.

At its core, this job is about owning and managing product development from start to finish. You will be responsible for gathering requirements from sources, both internal and external, conducting competitive analysis, conceptualizing new features and enhancements, ruthlessly prioritizing features, communicating product specifications to engineers, managing day-to-day delivery, and tracking the success metrics of launched features over time.

 Required

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to think and lead complex projects simultaneously
  • Experience in complete software development lifecycle duties, including requirements gathering, design, estimation, prototyping, implementation, and quality assurance
  • Experience with Agile development and methodologies
  • Have shipped digital products before
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and ProductBoard
  • Expertise with Heap, Segment, or similar Product Analytics tools
  • Software engineering background or experience working closely with software engineering teams
  • Collaborative to a fault, with a team-first attitude.
  • Passion for technology and building a best-in-class digital experience
  • Firm grasp of technology architecture and the ability to understand complex product functionality, design, and technical issues in order to estimate feature development efforts and drive the right priorities, trade-offs, and resolutions
  • Ability to empathize with the customer and prioritize high-impact features on their behalf
  • Organized, self-directed, efficient, and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
  • Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment

Essential day-to-day activities include:

  • Applying strategic thinking based on information obtained through formal requirements-gathering exercises to creatively conceptualize new features and enhancements to the product experience.
  • Driving features forward in bi-weekly sprints and prioritizing their completion.
  • Acting as a bridge between Design and Engineering teams to facilitate their interactions and clarify product development questions as they arise.
  • Helping to develop quarterly product roadmap with buy-in from cross-functional teams to unite behind and deliver shared goals.
  • Managing feature releases and ensuring smooth rollouts through proper internal and external stakeholder communication.
  • Ruthlessly managing dependencies and performing data-driven prioritization of the team’s backlog to ensure the team makes maximum customer impact.
  • Creating and launching market-leading product offerings in partnership with sales, marketing, engineering, and customer experience.
  • Analyzing and dispersing relevant product analytics/insights using product metrics.

What we are looking for:
We seek a Senior Product Manager to envision how companies manage their security compliance in "one-click.” You will join an established Product team and be expected to make an immediate impact. As one of the early Product hires, we are looking for a cognitively curious, self-starter with a strong bias towards action who is interested in working in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment. If you are passionate about building intuitive solutions to complex problems that drive direct value to users, we would love to talk with you.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience, minimum in product management or a comparable discipline. 

Compensation 

  • The compensation range for this role is $143,000 - $206,000 and will be based on experience and skill set
