What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead our financial planning and analysis function. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical abilities and a strong understanding of financial principles. The Director of FP&A will work with both the VP of Finance and Sr. Director of FP&A, to drive financial performance, support decision-making processes, and provide insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
What You Will Own And How You Will Make A Difference
- Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Partner with the executive team and cross-functional leadership to develop strategic financial plans and initiatives that support the company's growth objectives.
- Provide financial guidance and insights to support business decisions, including investments, promotion and pricing strategies, and cost optimization efforts, driving both short-term and long term strategic financial objectives
- Manage total company financial plans including detailed sales plans and cash flow forecast; own scenario analysis/planning to identify risks and opportunities and drive decision making
- Monthly Close - Collaborate closely with Accounting on month-end close processes, including accrual and accounting estimates input/review. Review financial statement accuracy and identify/analyze key variances to budget/forecast
- Support Investor Relations & Compliance reporting
- Develop supporting financial materials for investors and board decks
- Prepare periodic debt compliance reporting and analysis
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses, highlighting key performance metrics, trends, and areas of concern.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration on financial initiatives and decision making.
- Monitor and optimize financial performance for new channels including Stores, Amazon, and Wholesale; balance and prioritize investments and resources.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Monitor industry and market trends to assess potential impacts on the company's financial performance and recommend appropriate actions.
- Lead, mentor, and drive efficiency in a team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Create a culture of FP&A excellence where the function is viewed as a strategic partner on financial matters, providing guidance to and support decision making for all functions across the company
You Have
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Finance/FP&A or highly analytical roles (e.g. management consulting, investment banking), with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis; ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results and implementing process improvements.
- Prior experience in the DTC/retail industry.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.

Compensation
Annual base salary range of 175-200K
