Third Harmonic Bio is a biopharmaceutical company with a singular purpose: To create a breakthrough treatment for people living with severe allergy and inflammation – debilitating conditions that can take a significant toll on overall health and well-being.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Business and Financial Officer, this is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who has a strong scientific background, consulting and/or business development/corporate strategy experience and a strong desire to roll up their sleeves and create meaningful business impact by helping shape the course of the company’s future growth.  The Senior Director, Business Development and Strategy will be accountable for supporting all business development activities with a near term focus on building commercial assessments for new indications and researching and maintaining competitive intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, executing, and managing the company’s business development and corporate strategy.
  • Deliver commercial assessments using methodologies / frameworks that help the company assess and prioritize potential opportunities.
  • Support planning and tracking of competitive and market intelligence, preparing communications and materials for the Chief Financial and Business Officer and Executive Team, as needed.
  • Support the identification, evaluation and execution of potential business development opportunities, including strategic alliances and licensing agreements aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and asses competitive landscapes to inform business strategy.
  • Establish target product profiles, conduct qualitative and quantitative market research.
  • Develop business cases and financial forecasts/models to inform business development decisions, lead asset development and commercialization strategies.
  • Support the development of relationships with prospective partners, including industry leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Position the company as a partner of choice to biotech and pharma companies through a variety of interactions and networking.
  • Assist the Chief Financial and Business Officer in the creation of materials for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Scientific undergraduate degree: advanced business or scientific degree preferred with 10-12 years of related experience.
  • Big picture, strategic thinker with experience working in management consulting and/or corporate/business development.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing business development transactions, particularly in biotech.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills to lead/manage cross-functional teams and drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of complex intellectual and practical problems.
  • This is a hybrid role can be based in either our San Francisco, CA or Cambridge, MA office locations.

The approximate salary range for this role is: $244,000 - $294,000
