Position Summary

The Think Tank Team is seeking outstanding practitioners of strategy and product management who have a proven track-record of applying their work to real-world situations. We value creativity, curiosity, and persistence as well as solid technical and strategic skills.

As a member of TTT, you will directly influence product related discussions, working with multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, and researchers. You will support the team’s creativity with rapid market research in emerging technology areas, and by creating easy-to-consume deliverables for the team and for Samsung leadership. Most importantly, you will directly participate in and inspire innovation in new areas, and refine and deliver innovative concepts based on user and market needs for the growth of all of Samsung Electronics.

You will:

  • Explore and seek new opportunities with potential partners of TTT and drive and facilitate business development of TTT projects
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within TTT to develop and execute product initiatives
  • Be responsible for securing partners and managing them through the partnership lifecycle
  • Leverage strong project management and business acumen and oversee contract negotiations, presentations and pitches to high-profile stakeholders, and supervise new product releases with partners
  • Help form and drive the 0-to-1 business development strategy for TTT, bridge the path between TTT prototypes and market-ready products, and create new business cases for our products to scale

 

Requirements

  • 3+ YOE with direct experience in business development for technology products (preferably in a startup environment)
    • Equivalent experience in strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience also acceptable
  • Technical understanding and strong interest in technology products
  • Experienced in pitching and delivering new products to market

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Degree or BS/MS in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields: consumer electronics, software services, robotics, health, consumer appliances, etc.
  • Startup or other entrepreneurship experience

Our mandate is to explore what is next for Samsung through a unique mix of creativity, research, and early product development. We have a strong track record of driving concepts to production. Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
