The Role:

ThinkMarkets is seeking a data-driven Social Media Specialist to join our rapidly growing global workforce in Tokyo. You will play an integral role on the Marketing team as the owner of our social media strategy and external brand voice across social platforms and lead creation of a wide range of on and off-line content - be it on-boarding, up and cross-selling, or retention-focused. Overall, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose, and execute innovative social media programs, and establish best practices for ThinkMarkets.

This role requires to be responsible for implementing effective promotions of our brand on social media to acquire more clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all brand social media platforms and marketing campaigns to ensure consistency of messaging across Japanese markets (Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
  • Develop and own goals and performance metrics for organic posts and media campaigns; optimize and monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Build brand awareness by partnering with marketing and operations team members to create quality and engaging content from idealization to production stage
  • Explore and evaluate emerging content platforms and tools to build strategies for implementing effective campaigns which drive ThinkMarkets’ communication strategy
  • Stay abreast of the market to react quickly with relevant content
  • Monitor how the brand is being mentioned on social media and engage with followers by responding to public and private messages
  • Work with external third parties like agencies and influencers
  • Create strategic and tactical social media calendars – keeping in mind brand consistencies, localized messaging, tone of voice etc.
  • Working with the CRM teams to monitor and optimize customer journeys and grow CLV/LTV for the business
  • Write all the content for our campaigns, both at the campaign planning/development stage and the in-campaign optimization stage. This is across all channels: SEO, PPC, Social, Mobile, Website, Display, Affiliates, Blogs, Email, PR, Print, Outdoor, TV, Radio, Awards, Events, Seminars, Promotions, Sponsorship, Video and Research

Requirements:

  • Must be high language proficiency in Japanese
  • Knowledge literacy of social media
  • Be passionate about building a data-driven communication strategy
  • Good knowledge of SEO and online marketing techniques
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a strong attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative – builds strong relationships internally and externally with a positive attitude
  • Excellent knowledge of social media performance & KPI’s

Preferred: 

  • English language skills
  • Experience in managing corporate social media
  • Experience in or dealing with agencies
  • You have worked for a regulated broker, or you are an active trader of financial markets yourself
  • Experience of uploading to and formatting web pages and blogs using one or more current content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience with a CRM platform a prerequisite; Salesforce and Pardot eCRM experience is desirable
  • Experience with SEO tools and an understanding of semantic core development and the value of SEO back linking
