Our platforms are available for desktop, browser, iOS, and Android, and it’s paramount that we provide the best possible user experience. We are in search of an Mobile Lead who can help us in our effort to make our market leading ThinkTrader platform even better.

You will be responsible for planning, successful execution, and ongoing support of complex development projects for smartphone and tablet form factors on the iOS/Android platforms. If you are keen on implementing complex solutions and creating incredible user experience, you might be the perfect candidate for this role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of mobile software engineers, while keeping a constant pulse across departments to ensure the success of the team projects and goals
  • Contribute to the definition of the architecture and technical design of system modules and services, ensuring exceptional code quality and performance
  • Help and advise in the selection of the most appropriate frameworks, considering FRs, NFRs, and the best programming practices
  • Hands-on participation in the implementation of new features and troubleshooting reported issues
  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, design technical solutions and research third-party API specifications
  • Estimate work and time efforts, and plan the project execution accordingly
  • Build and utilize metrics to analyze features as they are deployed to Production to ensure they are functioning as expected
  • Work closely with product and business leaders to determine organization roadmap and build deliverables in accordance with timelines
  • Manage engineer performance - leveraging strengths and eliminating weaknesses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field
  • Familiarity with Android development utilizing Java and/or iOS using Objective-C and Swift
  • Minimum 5 years of Android/iOS development experience in building and delivering consumer facing mobile apps
  • Experience in a similar Lead role would be considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with Android development tools such as Android Studio, ADB, Gradle, Fabric, etc.
  • Familiarity with major capabilities, differences, and similarities across different Android and hardware versions
  • Knowledge of RESTful Web-Services, WebSockets, FIX JSON, networking protocols and best practices for promoting leading application performance
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
