INTRODUCTION

The Zebra is seeking a driven, organized, and personable sales manager to join our tight knit, motivated sales call center.  This person needs to know the ins and outs of P&C insurance and have a personal track record of success in sales. If you are the right person for this role, you enjoy both people development and new process implementation to further maximize our agency’s success.  You are someone who has started taking initiative at work to help mentor, coach, and lead others.  
 
This Sales Manager will work closely with recruitment and agency operations to ensure we continue to hire motivated, driven agents and provide a fun, fast-paced work environment. You will also work closely with our Sales Trainer to ensure we are maximizing all of our resources and giving our agents the support and guidance they need to thrive. 
 
Reporting directly to the Director of Agency Sales and Service, you will work alongside our four other sales managers and have a strong support group to aid your own growth as a leader.  This sales manager will be managing a team of about 12-15 agents (and growing!) and will initially be leading one of our Auto or Multi-line teams. 
 
(Please note - This person will likely work weekends and different hours as opposed to the typical 9-5 pm hours). 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support the licensed agent recruiting process (attending interviews and providing timely feedback)
  • Support the onboarding of new agents
  • Lead a team of licensed sales agents, developing and supporting their sales processes
  • Hold regular one-on-ones and team meetings
  • Coach and develop agents to sell profitable policies and become future leaders
  • Support agent incentives and performance management

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 1 year as a P&C licensed sales agent
  • Demonstrates the ability to coach and lead peers and/or direct reports 
  • Shows the willingness to step-up and help the team outside of normal operations
  • Shows the ability to be successful in sales and deliver a positive customer experience
  • Has the ability to understand and communicate strategic vision
  • Is competent with spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills
