The Social Hub is seeking a Commercial Asset Manager to join our fast-growing real estate team!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it...
You will play an important role in the Real Estate department at The Social Hub (TSH), as we further develop into the leading asset management platform for hybrid hospitality. In this role, you will contribute to professionalizing our real estate management by enhancing property value, operational performance, and return on investment. This role provides a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in managing hotel assets while working closely with senior asset managers to develop strategies that maximize the performance of hotel properties. You can expect to be challenged and supported as you develop your skills and make an impact in a rapidly evolving industry. Mistakes are part of the journey—we embrace them as opportunities to learn, grow, and build a stronger future together.
In case you don't know who we are (ahem)
Known for being the rule breakers in hospitality, TSH is a fun, creative and inspiring environment where everyone can work, stay, learn and play and most importantly – be themselves. As an employer we look, act and think like a hotel, but instead we offer a lot more. Think student accommodation, long and short stay options, gyms, talks, events, rooftop bar and eat & drink escapes as well as community and coworking spaces. Located in The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and Spain with several new openings on the way, this hybrid hospitality concept may take root in the heart of Europe, but our plans are set for going global.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the day-to-day management of hotel assets, monitoring performance, working closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure optimal property conditions and performance.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to evaluate asset performance, prepare detailed reports, and monitor key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with senior managers to develop and execute strategic asset management plans, support renovation and improvement projects, and identify market opportunities to optimize asset value.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and business plans, monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide strategic input on long-term capital planning.
- Support negotiation and management of third-party contracts and leases, tracking performance and ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Conduct in-depth market research to stay informed about industry trends, analyze competitor properties, and identify strategic differentiation opportunities.
- Ensure properties comply with local regulations, safety standards, and risk management protocols, with a focus on developing ESG pathways for each asset.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, asset performance, and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
Who You Are
- You hold a master's degree in business administration, finance or real estate.
- 2 - 4 years of working experience at real estate investors, portfolio management as consultant or facility management of larger assets.
