This position will focus on the preparation, verification, and presentation of financial data for our joint ventures. This position is accountable for all aspects of accounting efforts for our joint venture entities including preparing or reviewing journal entries and reconciliations and generating timely financial reports.

Your Responsibilities
This Senior Fund Accountant is accountable for all aspects of accounting efforts for our joint venture entities including preparing journal entries and reconciliations and generating timely financial reports. Responsibilities include:
Perform or review daily accounting for Taxable REIT Subsidiaries (TRS), Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and holding companies in the joint venture structures
Record capital contribution and distribution activity
Oversee the monthly consolidations process including the monthly equity pick-up calculations/entries and elimination entries
Review journal entries, bank reconciliations and other month end reconciliations prepared by the Fund Accountant and Bookkeeper.
Prepare reconciliations of intercompany balances within joint ventures
Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements issued to investors
Preparation of financial statements and footnotes for annual joint venture audits
Keep track of internal and external reporting deadlines and ensure timely completion of reporting
Communicate with property accountants to resolve questions and obtain information needed for footnotes.
Respond to inquiries from auditors
Calculate and record entries to convert financial statements from US GAAP to IFRS
Develop process improvements

What We Require
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3-5 years of professional Accounting experience
Advanced Excel fundamentals
Obtained or pursuing CPA preferred
