ALX is our training arm, focused on developing skills for the fourth industrial revolution (software engineering, devops, data science, etc.) to ensure that Africa is able to compete effectively as the world undergoes a digital transformation. To cement this, through our legal entity  African Leadership International (ALI), we have signed an agreement to acquire Silicon Valley based Holberton Inc. – a project-based, college alternative educating the next generation of software engineers. This will give us ownership of the advanced technology program that will enable us to provide global organizations access to significant untapped pools of talent that can bridge the growing global shortage of technology talent. As the Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving our sales efforts in support of revenue growth in your defined country and city. You will be responsible for securing accounts with employer partners that want to hire our talent. You will have clear KPIs which will require you to oversee a sales process from prospecting to closing to drive revenue from companies.

Your KPIs will be:

  • # of new accounts
  • # of placements
  • Revenue generated


  • A bachelor’s degree 
  • +1-3 years of experience in (for profit) B2B service sales
  • Proactivity, resourcefulness and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible, and entrepreneurial environment. Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: you can effectively articulate and communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing
  • Accuracy and attention to detail: you pay close attention to all of the small particulars when working on a task or project
  • Interpersonal skills: you have a collaborative mindset and can work well with others
  • Relationship management skills: you can maintain an ongoing level of engagement with stakeholders at all levels


  • Extensive network in the business community
  • Experience in the recruitment, staffing or talent placement industries
  • Experience and/or passion for new technologies and for closing the digital skills gap in the continent (and creating work opportunities for African youth in doing so!)
