ABOUT THE ROLE

The Career Launch Pathfinder role is a dynamic one that will challenge you to exercise a broad set of skills daily. As a Career Launch Pathfinder, your main focus will be on launching the careers of our young leaders who are still enrolled in our programs at ALU & ALx. You will play the role of the middleman/woman or a matchmaker who bridges the gap between the young leader and our employer partners. While managing a portfolio of young leaders, your main role is to fully grasp the essence of the young leaders in your portfolio so you can match them to the right opportunities. 

On one day you might find yourself leading one on one conversations with a Young Leader, understanding their strengths & interests, what career paths they aspire to pursue, what roles they are suitable for, and providing continuous support and guidance - channeling your inner coach. While on the next day you will need to show up as a strong relationship manager who can network and secure exciting opportunities with various employers for our Young Leaders. On the following day, you might have secured these job opportunities and your listening skills will then come into practice as you engage with our employer partners to understand what their talent needs are, and what kinds of profiles would be most suitable for the job opportunities they have open. 

Once you have this understanding, your ability to connect dots will come in as you assess your portfolio and determine which young leaders would be the best for which employer needs. Once you have shared your recommendations with the employers, your guiding skills kick in as you guide our young leaders through the process of helping them secure the opportunity. You will then work closely with our current Young Leaders giving them the tools & support needed to search for, find and secure their first internship or job. This role is also crucial in shaping and instilling the kind of mindsets that help young people manage their expectations for their first jobs and learn how to own their career growth journey as they continue to secure more opportunities in the future.

This is a remote position that can be based out of anywhere in the world.
