The RealReal’s Finance team is looking to hire an Investor Relations Director that will be an integral part of our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of our quarterly earnings materials, responding to investor and analyst inquiries, and analyzing key financial and operational results. You will be working primarily with our Senior Executives as well as our Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams, and you will also support other teams on ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, display an executive/polished presence, be able to articulate our business strategy and financial results, and be able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Assist in preparation of the quarterly earnings presentation, press releases, and CEO script
  • Communicate  regularly and build trust with analysts and investors; be responsive in scheduling meetings and responding to questions
  • Coordinate with Accounting team to deliver quarterly reporting on KPIs and other metrics
  • Maintain and update IR calendar, including travel, events and deadlines
  • Assist in preparing CEO, CFO and President for earnings conference call Q&A session
  • Prepare analyses and presentations on our institutional ownership and changes to our investor base
  • Coordinate with REAL public relations and communications teams for internal and external communications to ensure consistency in messaging around earnings
  • Monitor recommerce/resale and luxury market trends, peer equity performance, and peer financial results and prepare reports on same for dissemination to the leadership team

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in IR at a tech company, IR consulting, strategic consulting, or corporate finance with an emphasis on finance, accounting and/or strategy
  • Prior experience in interpreting and analyzing company profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Experience in drafting financial and technical business communications for an external audience 
  • Professional demeanor and strong verbal communications skills
  • Strong acumen in using Microsoft suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word 
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a demanding and ambiguous environment with competing priorities
  • Familiarity using investor relations software and tools such as Nasdaq IR Insight or FactSet is a plus
  • Direct experience communicating with public equity investors and public equity research analysts is a plus
  • Basic understanding of Securities and Exchange Commission disclosures regulations is a plus

The expected salary range for this role is $176,848.00 - $186,155.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
