The RealReal is looking for a kind and curious Staff Android Software Engineer who enjoys solving challenging problems to join our Mobile team. This team’s mission is to optimize the ease and enjoyment of our suite of mobile applications.

As a Staff Android Software Engineer you will be a strong influencer in our technical direction as well as an active hands-on contributor. You will be able to lead and contribute to significant initiatives as well as provide mentorship through code reviews and pairing.

This role reports to the Mobile Engineering Manager and can be fully remote

What You Bring To The Role
- 5+ years experience developing high volume consumer facing mobile apps
- Good understanding of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Flow, Android Studio and Android architecture
- Experience leading the technical and architectural direction for large mobile apps
- Passionate about market leading UX
- Passionate about testing practices and continuous improvement
- Curiosity about retail/e-commerce, the high-end consignment market, and/or how to create a sustainable, circular economy for luxury goods
