This position is a hybrid role. The Food Services Assistant Manager must spend one day each week at our Perth Amboy, NJ, Secaucus, NJ and Midtown, NYC locations.

 

What you get to do everyday

  • Responsible for all elements of The RealReal’s food at work program
  • Management of 1-3 direct reports 
  • Oversee and support office operations to ensure offices are operating smoothly
  • Answering employee questions and troubleshooting problems to quickly resolve identified issues/concerns regarding food services and office administration 
  • Ability to relay verbal and written information concisely, effectively and professionally
  • Analyzing feedback via multiple channels to make informed recommendations to leadership regarding program changes/updates
  • Responsible for all aspects of vendor management, including the careful review and payment of invoices
  • Partnership with People Operations and on-site leadership to plan and execute company sponsored events
  • Liaison between Food Services and TRR’s ERGs. This includes the coordination of all onsite events
  • Responsible for delivering a best in class experience within budget
  • Possesses the ability to be tactful, while direct.

What you bring to the role

  • Candidate MUST have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to thrive in both a warehouse and corporate environment
  • Experience managing others is required
  • The candidate should have the ability to establish a strong partnership with all levels of leadership across office and warehouse locations.
  • Must have experience with G Suite products including gmail, slides, sheets and docs
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to appropriately engage with hourly employees and executive leaders
  • Strong organizational and information management skills
  • The position requires a full flex open availability with the expectation of working some evenings and weekends
  • Ability to commute to all three East Coast facilities in Perth Amboy, NJ, Secaucus, NJ, and Midtown, NYC on a weekly basis. Travel to West Coast locations quarterly. 
  • Event management or food services management experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing a budget and handling POs is strongly preferred.
