Who We’re Looking for:

Therabody is seeking a Director of Product Marketing to help drive the next wave of growth for our products and services. The Director of Product Marketing will manage the end-to-end user journey from product ideation through product positioning and market fit to global launch. The perfect candidate will be able to work directly with executive leadership, partner with cross functional leads in Sales, Marketing, Product and Ops and roll up their sleeves to executive core functions including product positioning, audience definition, launch strategy and portfolio management. 

This experienced Marketer will bring a proven track record in launching consumer products and executing flawless strategy from product development to partnership with Brand Marketing on go-to-market execution. They are comfortable working in startup mentality and can working effectively in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple products at different stages in the launch cycle. 

The Director of Product Marketing is consumer obsessed and strive to merge insights with emotion in both our products and supporting messaging and product-focused communications. And they embrace our company’s mission of helping everybody.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a category expert on market trends, competitive analysis and customer insights related to help us make data-driven product decisions
  • Partner with Product leads to influence product experiences, portfolio strategies and bring new products to market 
  • Be the champion of the consumer, ensuring their voice is driving all that we do in the development of our products and marketing efforts
  • Lead core Product Marketing functions including competitive analysis, market fit, value props, product positioning and GTM strategy
  • Lead development of packaging from both a strategic and creative oversight perspective
  • Oversee the development of core product messaging copy
  • Constantly analyze and test outbound marketing messaging and communications across key channels
  • Investigate opportunities to strengthen global sell-through in and post-purchase engagement with the Therabody App and cross-selling the broader Therabody ecosystem
  • Help improve our position in priority categories, including and not limited to lifestyle & wellness, fitness, sports, and hospitality
  • Work the Go To Market Manager to ensure we achieve key milestones leading up to an effective announce and product launch

The Right Person Would Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of product marketing experience at an agency or device company (preference for one that has scaled).
  • Experience with consumer marketing with a focus in lifestyle and/or wellness
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter with energy, drive and determination to accomplish goals and demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities, stay focused, and set clear milestones
  • Must be results-oriented and possess excellent analytical skills
  • Creative-minded and strong problem solving ability
  • Ability to balance day-to-day execution and big-picture, strategic thinking
