Who We’re Looking for: 

We are looking for an experienced Leasing Manager to join our Retail & Reset team to drive the lease negotiation process as we continue to expand our retail footprint. The leasing manager will be responsible for overseeing the leases of new stores, expansions, renewals, and work cross functionally with the entire retail team throughout the store build out process. Throughout this process, this leader will need to identify solutions to complex challenges and monitor the stores throughout the project life cycle. The Leasing Manager will interact with internal retail leaders, internal and external legal counsel, and external business partners to plan and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of leases. Further, this role will provide weekly reports to Senior Leadership on retail build out statuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the leasing process from start to finish - manage and research demographic trends for new locations, pitch new locations to the team based on educated research, negotiate and review lease terms, and consult with internal counsel. 
  • Serve as liaison between Therabody, legal, brokers, construction teams, and property management.
  • Manage relationship with external contacts regarding tenant permitting and improvements
  • End-to-end management of lease renewals - updating and reviewing all active leases, monitoring expiring leases, and review all terms and conditions on any/all contracts 
  • Prepare any applicable reports for senior leadership on upcoming lease renewals and new locations
  • Review current retail processes, identifying areas of improvements and evolving the vision
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOP) for retail lease processes
  • Work with HQ to ensure retail operations are meeting Therabody brand standards
  • Work with key cross-functional business partners within marketing, design, sales, and operations to support retail needs.  
  • Work with retail experience team and design team to evaluate current retail store plans and optimize for new store openings

The Right Person Would Have

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of lease management or other relevant experience
  • Experience with new retail build-outs preferred
  • Ability to read and understand lease agreements 
  • Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems
  • Strong project management and time management skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Highly motivated and organized with capacity to perform in a fast-paced, high growth company environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with many different teams, team leads and outside vendors
  • Personable and flexible with demands and changes in business; Willing to take on new challenge with a positive, can-do attitude
