Who We’re Looking For:

The Director of Brand Marketing is responsible for strategizing and implementing all marketing communication consistent with brand image. The Director of Brand Marketing will be involved in building creative campaigns to maximize brand exposure and sales. This candidate will identify the key communication vehicles (traditional, online, promotional) in the market and deploy all marketing collateral and assets. Additionally, this position manages marketing staff to ensure deadlines and brand goals are successfully met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate the core product attributes and value to our consumers ensuring a consistent and compelling message, including internal communication as well as working with external partners
  • Be the champion of our brand voice
  • Inform strategy on asset creation and placement, including photos, video, and renderings
  • Work to deeply understand the overall customer journey
  • Research and audit the competitive landscape to help inform product and brand positioning
  • Establish a process for reporting to quantify effectiveness of our content efforts
  • Work with our operations team on key product feature requirements across existing and new products and brands
  • Be a key liaison between operations, customer experience, design, and marketing providing feedback across the entire organization
  • Participate in briefings, creative brainstorms and strategy development with internal teams and agency partners
  • Track and report on key brand metrics on a monthly basis. Lead certain creative initiatives to bring them to life from ideation through launch
  • Assist in the ongoing management of Brand marketing budget
  • Support social media channels
  • Work as part of an integrated marketing team to ensure continuity of brand story across channels (PR, Social Media, Customer Service)

The Right Person Would Have:

  • 6+ years of experience in product marketing, content/copywriting, PR, journalism, or editorial
  • Experience storytelling and writing copy for a physical product
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Comfort with data and analytics. Proficiency in Excel a plus
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools, a plus (Google Analytics, Heap, etc.)
  • Experience with surveying and consumer interviews
  • Experience at a high growth company preferred within e-commerce or consumer products
