Pro-actively thinking about new and innovative ways to work with advertisers rather than waiting for the latest display RFP. These are things The Outline’s advertising sales manager will be doing very soon. Maybe it’s you.

We’re looking for someone with three to five years of media advertising sales experience, who has a true knack for selling large custom projects. The right person for this role will think of themselves as an advocate and a strategist, not a mere “seller.”

We’re looking for someone creative, fun, scrappy, resourceful, and enterprising. Broad-based knowledge of the entire sales process — from cold calling to creative ideation to tracking pixels to the guts of DFP — is a major plus, as is experience in the corporate, retail, auto or travel ad categories. More than anything, you should be extremely passionate about digging in, questioning everything, and joining us in building a truly modern media company from the ground up.

Must be based in New York City.
