The Lead Scrum Master plays a critical leadership role in guiding Agile delivery within the organization. Acting as the "COO" of their business domain, this role oversees the Scrum process across multiple teams, mentors other Scrum Masters, and ensures consistent application of Agile principles. The Lead Scrum Master works closely with the Head of Release Management, product owners, and key stakeholders to drive process excellence, enable high-performing teams, and support continuous delivery of value.

Responsibilities:

  • Agile Coaching and Leadership
    • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Scrum practices across the organization.
    • Mentor and coach Scrum Masters and delivery teams on Agile methodologies and principles.
    • Drive alignment of Agile practices across teams for consistency and efficiency.

  • Scrum Process Oversight
    • Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Identify and address impediments that block team progress.
    • Promote transparency, inspection, and adaptation throughout the Scrum lifecycle.

  • Stakeholder Communication and Coordination
    • Act as a key liaison between delivery teams, product owners, the Head of Release Management, and other stakeholders.
    • Communicate team progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively.
    • Align Scrum practices with broader release and delivery goals.

  • Process Improvement
    • Identify areas for improvement in Agile delivery processes and implement enhancements.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within teams.
    • Monitor Agile metrics to evaluate team performance and delivery health.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Agile delivery, with at least 3 years in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role.
  • Proven leadership experience guiding multiple teams in a scaled Agile environment.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and delivery best practices.
  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and team coaching skills.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced CSM (A-CSM), or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Background in enterprise-level release planning and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • 2 rest days per week
  • 13th Month Pay
