The Role: Digital Marketing Associate

As Digital Marketing Associate on the Marketing Team, you will have a direct impact on company growth by managing our user acquisition strategy and execution. You will be responsible for paid and guerilla digital marketing growth as well as marketing operations. You will report directly to our Marketing Manager.

You will be passionate about driving new customer growth for a scaling two sided marketplace. You will oversee and own marketing operations from execution, planning, campaign structure & optimization, bidding strategies, and measurement. You will be responsible for tracking and steering channels toward monthly goals.

You will be supporting a wide variety of initiatives for The Org - content distribution, landing page and conversion testing, ad design and placement, channel mix, and novel tactics for viral and word-of-mouth growth. You will, in many ways, be mission critical for new user growth.

This is not only an opportunity to learn new skills on a new, cross-functional team, but also to achieve tangible results with your work and build on your successes with experienced marketers, designers, product and sales teams, and a larger growth operation. You will be hands-on executing the digital marketing strategy to push our adoption to exponential growth.

What you will do:

You will spend 100% of your time executing strategies to drive more user growth and MRR. You will be the right hand to our marketing leader as well as an autonomous project manager. You will work closely with the Marketing, Growth, Sales, and Product teams to figure out the most cost-effective and impactful ways to grow.

  • Build and execute comprehensive integrated marketing communications plans that align with key business objectives
  • Create, build, manage, and optimize a multichannel integrated demand generation strategy to scale our user growth and MRR
  • Manage innovative, affordable, and scalable alternative demand generation tactics like prospecting, community engagement, enlist influencers, and more
  • Organize and execute full funnel A/B testing, tracking, and optimizing accordingly
  • Help oversee the marketing acquisition budget to maximize the impact of our spend
  • Drive KPIs including cost of acquisition and LTV. You own these key acquisition goals and manage marketing budget and channel mix for these metrics

Who you are:

We are seeking someone who balances experience with a willingness to work hard and learn. The ideal candidate is technical, creative, curious and takes pride in the work they produce. You love the internet. You love startups. You like figuring it out rather than following a playbook. You want to work in marketing and growth for your career and see this as a great opportunity to be a part of something growing fast.

Success in this role requires a bias for action towards campaign setup, data analysis, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to execute on a goal without too much oversight.

  • The ideal candidate is highly creative, naturally curious and data focused with deep experience in paid customer acquisition (Facebook, Google, YouTube, TikTok, etc) for both B2C and B2B
  • 3+ years of paid performance/media buying, management, optimization, and campaign experience.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, excited about figuring out solutions to complex problems, and then executing on them
  • Analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to problem solving. You have built a website, you know some SQL, or you’ve played with Amplitude or similar BI software
  • Curious about advertising. You have a knack for the written word and an eye for design
  • Prior startup, B2B, and/or consumer experience preferred

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Unlimited paid vacation
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Professional development budget, wellbeing subsidy, commuter benefits
  • Penthouse office in Soho, Manhattan with an outdoor terrace

Our Values

Do the dishes: We value people that put the team first and do whatever is necessary regardless of your seniority or what your job description says. Sometimes that might mean you literally need to do the dishes.

Go for it!: We value people that take initiative and execute on their ideas. We take ownership and passionately seize opportunities to create, to learn, and to grow. We run towards a problem, rather than away from it, and fail fast and learn from our mistakes.

Be a contrarian: We dare to go against popular beliefs and seek out principle-first solutions over incremental progress. We aim to find the best solution, not the obvious one or the one that’s been found by others before.

Hygge: A Danish word meaning “cozy”, “belonging” or “togetherness”, representing the way we treat our office community. We value diversity and seek out people who want to join the “hygge”.

Learn out loud: We work transparently, dare to be vulnerable, and own our imperfections. Learning from each other builds a strong common ground from which everyone can grow together.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We are also required to measure our progress toward having at least 7% of our workforce be individuals with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years.

Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
