Job Summary

The Vice President, Operations plays a key role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of the clinics within their assigned region.  This position requires a results-driven individual with a proven track record of effective leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations, specifically in the oncology field.

is responsible for the overall performance, quality, execution, control, and completion of clinical operations services within the designated region.  They will provides leadership and direction to assure safe, efficient, therapeutic and ethical patient care and positive teammate relations.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall performance, quality, execution, control, and completion of clinical operations services within the designated region.
  • Provide leadership and direction to clinic managers, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to build and optimize clinic operations, enhance patient experience, and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational strategies with overall business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to patient safety, quality assurance, and compliance programs
  • Collaborate with the COO and finance department to develop and manage budgets for the assigned region.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and community partners.
  • Lead marketing and community outreach efforts to grow volume at portfolio locations through key referral relationships.
  • Oversee the design and construction of new clinics and clinic expansions/renovations.
  • Participate in merger and acquisition activities.
  • Oversee the transitional process of new acquisitions into the company.
  • Perform all other assigned duties and tasks.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • As an operational leader for your assigned region, you will be responsible for overseeing directors and/or clinic leaders, and partnering closely with sclinicians
  • You will be responsible for annual performance evaluations on all direct reports and reviewing evaluations for indirect reports.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred
  • Proven experience in multi-site healthcare operations management, with a focus on oncology services.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent strategic planning and decision-making abilities.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.

  • Must be customer service oriented and prepared to liaise with patients, their families and other care providers

  • Knowledge of a second language is an asset
