We're seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist with training and supervision of housekeeping staff to provide a clean, safe environment for residents, guests and staff according to Mather policies and Measures of Excellence. 

This position is full-time for the following schedule: 

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Friday and Saturday 7:00am to 3:00pm

DAYS OFF: Sunday and Monday

Essential Functions 

  • Ensures consistent service and cleanliness throughout the community.
  • Communicates regularly to assure that Housekeepers have needed equipment and supplies, comply with uniform and appearance standards, and receive up to date community information.
  • Communicates regularly with residents regarding cleaning schedules and projects; inspects community for cleanliness daily to maintain high levels of resident satisfaction.
  • Establishes and tracks cleaning schedules and project lists and prepares work schedules and routine work assignments to ensure adequate coverage for all areas.
  • Thoroughly trains Housekeepers to clean residents’ homes and common areas to standards with attention to high dusting, spot cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning/washing and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Tracks usage of housekeeping supplies and submits requests for purchase including cleaning supplies, chemicals, paper goods, and linens.
  • Provides regular updates to supervisor regarding housekeeping operations, resident feedback and staff performance.
  • Assists with community and room setup for resident and employee events and activities.
  • Completes final room inspection prior to new resident move in and coordinates with other departments to assure timely completion of outstanding items.
  • Coordinates housekeeping workflow and projects with other Experience Centers

Qualifications & Functions

Required:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Clear and concise, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish
  • Previous housekeeping and training experience
