Martin Entertainment is The Martin Agency’s newly created entertainment group. Our mission is to advance existing Martin brands and future brands into the entertainment eco system via original content and IP partnerships. We are looking for an entertainment superstar to help us evolve Martin client brands into entertainers. This person has a keen sense of how branded content and partnerships get made, how they are measured, what makes them effective, and the best strategies for format and distribution. The role requires a blend of creativity, strategic vision, business acumen, and leadership to help evolve client brands into entities that can entertain and engage audiences. This role reports directly to the EVP of Martin Entertainment and the Cultural Impact Lab.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Lead business and entertainment development across existing Martin brands and brands that we will proactively pitch for new business.
  • Partner with Martin’s Group Account Director leads to drive entertainment and revenue opportunities within and beyond existing scopes.
  • Partner with the New Business lead to develop brand targets and strategies for acquiring Martin Entertainment exclusive business. Lead the business development for Martin Entertainment.
  • Lead business development to acquire net-new customers, accounts, and create innovative revenue streams across the entertainment division.
  • Oversee the content development process across all Martin Entertainment projects. This includes leading two core phases: 
    • Pre-development of vetting opportunities for brands, leading assembling pitch materials, partnering with internal teams to negotiate deals, guiding creative resources on deliverables and,
    • Guide the original content and partnerships through production and distribution once it has been greenlit to ensure it aligns to the original intention and optimized throughout the process for success.
  • Work across internal brand teams, clients, and external partners to ensure strategic and seamless development of the entertainment creative and production. 
  • Own relationships with production companies and producers and identify the right production company based on objectives and budget. Maintain the catalog of content ideas and proactively seek new content ideas.
  • Lead development of original ideas within the Martin Entertainment creatives and Martin brand creative
  • Work across a range of brands and verticals and customize entertainment approach based on audiences and KPIs.
  • Lead distribution strategy and pitching of entertainment ranging from a brand’s owned and operated to social to a streamer/network deal.
  • Represent and promote Martin Entertainment at industry events, internal meetings, and client events. 

YOU HAVE:

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in the entertainment industry, branded content creation, and business development to include new customer acquisition.
  • Expert knowledge of content development processes, including pre-development, negotiation, and production.
  • Familiarity with entertainment and revenue generation strategies within a corporate structure.
  • Insights into distribution channels and strategies, including digital platforms and traditional media.
  • Expertise in project management and business development within the context of entertainment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to work with various levels of stakeholders.
  • Creative skills to contribute to and lead the development of original content ideas.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of content and partnerships.
  • Superior relationship building skills to manage partnerships with production companies, studios, and producers.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams across different departments to achieve common goals.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Competency in budget management and cost-effective decision making.
  • Proficiency in using data to inform decisions and to optimize strategies for content and distribution.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in market trends and audience preferences.
