Job Overview:

The Marketing Arm is looking for an Account Manager in Anne Arundel County, MD. This candidate will be responsible for understanding the essential dynamics, strategies and drivers of the client's business while providing expertise and leadership in guiding internal teams across the agency to meet client goals. Candidate must have the ability to work in a changing environment, meet deadlines and be detail oriented. Candidate must be self-sufficient yet contribute as a team member to a larger mission. They will work closely with other disciplines in delivering and exceeding client expectations. Position will include some travel. This position is client facing and will require working from client offices and adhering to client protocols within the office setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide best-in-class brand stewardship, project management, day-to-day client service and team collaboration
  • Strong relationship manager – client, teams, partner agencies, and vendors
  • Supports multiple client units with day-to-day tasks
  • Assist in building marketing and advertising plans to support the client’s business goals
  • Analyze and optimize marketing efforts for maximum ROI
  • Project management across multiple workstreams interacting with various internal and external counterparts across multiple disciplines of work
  • Work onsite at client location to manage and support the client’s mission goals through recommending, fostering, developing, and delivering effective advertising
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the client’s business and mission
  • Demonstrate a positive, genuine, can-do attitude
  • Contribute with strategic partnerships focusing on advancing financial well-being of account
  • Overcome geographic distance to establish close relationships with all team members and clients
  • Ability to manage, motivate and collaborate with vendors and agency partners
  • Encourage clients to use agency POVs in developing ideas and advertising that best meets client goals and objectives
  • Must be able to build and manage timelines, budgets and program reports/recaps.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Experience with segmentation and marketing automation platforms a plus
  • Minimum of 3+ years account management related experience in national-to-local brand integration, media strategy and plan execution specifically in the northeast United States.
  • Must have experience in developing and executing locally relevant programs
  • Experience in sourcing, planning and executing local events
  • Digital marketing experience a plus
  • Provide support and recommendations for multiple client units
  • Ability to understand client and agency research, trends, audience segmentation, and data—and build improved marketing plans leveraging that information
  • Ability to present to company management and clients at most senior level
  • Must be able to build and manage timelines, budgets and program reports/recaps
  • Must strive to gain, or have a deep understanding of Agency and Clients
  • Strong relationship manager – client, teams, partner agencies and vendors
  • Identify areas for and help contribute to the professional growth of the team
  • Provide constant attention to detail regarding the execution of marketing plan
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills
  • Outstanding organizational, leadership and project management skills, attention to detail a must
  • Professionalism at all levels
  • Experience on a state or federal government account is a plus
  • Background check including driving record and T1 Clearance will be required
  • Willingness to travel (20%)
