We’re looking for a Director, Brand Marketing to join our team—someone who can execute and synthesize our brand guidelines to establish a clear direction for the visual and tonal identity of The Information brand. You will be responsible for driving brand expansion and the development and implementation of a framework to deliver the best brand experience across all touchpoints. The role will have an equal focus on strategy and execution.

Who Are You?

As Director, Brand Marketing, you are a strategic contributor that plays a critical role in working with our existing brand and style guidelines and using them to update existing and create new materials that bring The Information brand forward. You are someone that can align across marketing, sales, events, growth, editorial, and product teams to enforce our brand identity, drive brand expansion, and create a process framework to deliver outstanding creative.

We are looking for someone with strong strategic knowledge of the digital landscape, who can make intentional choices and is excited to tackle new creative challenges every day. You will focus on operational excellence and the mastery of our email, social, and push notification tools. You will also be responsible for establishing consistency of brand across all of our consumer touchpoints. This will require close collaboration with your colleagues leading our acquisition and retention groups, while also working with our PR agency to extend our brand presence. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Draft, refine, and verbally present best-in-class marketing materials to support internal and external marketing, sales, editorial, and product initiatives.
  • Manage the brand across all mediums, including creative development and brand positioning, for subscriptions, B2B sales, and brand partnerships 
  • Identify creative opportunities by understanding our audience, the competitive landscape, and industry trends to help differentiate us from competitors.
  • Find untapped marketing opportunities to bring visibility to the brand in order to be contextually and culturally relevant as well as reach new customers.
  • Drive the analysis and compilation of reporting that expresses the impact of brand marketing initiatives across all channels.

Requirements include

  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing or management, product marketing, or other relevant marketing disciplines. Content distribution background is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field 
  • Brand Management expertise, and specific experience with subscription-based business models and/or digital marketing is preferred.
  • Experience defining, building, and differentiating brands and sub-brands through brand and product marketing.
  • Proven ability to scale digital performance and impact through successful and innovative approaches.
  • Experience managing and collaborating with internal/external teams, and building partnerships with world-class agencies, freelancers, and vendors.
  • Creative storytelling capabilities across several formats with excellent communication and project management skills.
  • A can-do attitude - someone who likes to roll up their sleeves and execute just as much as developing strategy.

Salary Range: 100,000 - 180,000 USD Annually + Bonus + Benefits

The salary range posted is based on the company's good faith belief at the time of the posting. Actual compensation may vary above or below this range based on factors such as location, work experience, and skill level.
