Our team is seeking a seasoned sales executive who is interested in converting inbound and outbound opportunities into new clients and expanding existing relationships.

Who are you?

  • Someone who gets excited about speaking with prospects and clients about the value of our offering while identifying opportunities to achieve your annual bookings target.
  • Take responsibility for strategically working an assigned territory to identify, engage and win new clients to The Information’s subscription-based journalism offering.
  • You are an experienced seller that has existing contacts in Marketing, Growth, Research, Corporate Communication, and other groups within the tech, media, finance, and business sectors to jumpstart your book of business. 
  • You will thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment. Subscriptions are just the start of what The Information can offer to potential targets. Based on your expertise, you can help build out the packaging and value proposition to drive sales growth and opportunity. 

Responsibilities:

  • Discover and find potential clients and ideal buyers and actively engage them with multi-channel prospecting activity to drive consistency in pipeline quality, quantity, and velocity.
  • The successful candidate will discover, build and maintain strong relationships in the corporate market and convey the value and benefits of The Information.
  • Gather intelligence about the overall market and suggest custom strategies to win new business. Metrics guide your discovery and assist you in managing your pipeline and account status in Salesforce. 
  • Drive upsell opportunities with existing enterprise customers to expand the portfolio and drive customer retention.
  • Gain an understanding of target account objectives and position The Information as solutions to address them. This work will involve aggressive prospecting to increase our corporate accounts and revenue.
  • Provide feedback regularly and participate in special projects where needed.  

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience selling into large enterprises, negotiating contracts with sophisticated procurement teams, and liaising with senior executives across several business functions such as strategy, sales, marketing, and data/analytics.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential functions of the job.
  • Experience managing a book of business and selling a new complex product or service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven presentation skills. Includes the ability to speak effectively with all levels of management.
  • Positive, energetic, and dynamic self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Understands how to work with different people and different working styles across the organization and inside member companies
  • Resourceful style; willingness to take the initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time.

Salary Range: 100,000 - 175,000 USD Annually + Bonus + Benefits

The salary range posted is based on the company's good faith belief at the time of the posting. Actual compensation may vary above or below this range based on factors such as location, work experience, and skill level.
