At The Infatuation, we’re on a mission to create the most trustworthy and useful restaurant recommendation platform. We serve our users by creating content that provides both utility and entertainment and we package it all up in delightful digital products.
In October 2021, The Infatuation was acquired by JPMorgan Chase, the largest bank in the U.S. The acquisition affords us the backing of a major institution, as well as the ambition for The Infatuation to become a household name. With these new resources, we will be expanding and growing more quickly than we ever have before.
We are seeking a VP, Growth to turbocharge our audience growth and help us reach hungry diners everywhere. This role will be responsible for growth efforts across all of our channels and will need to work closely with our Creative, Editorial, Marketing and Product teams. We’re looking for someone who has deep experience in data-driven growth and is also excited by the idea of building out a team.
We are prioritizing candidates who are based in either the NYC or LA areas, as we will be returning to offices in a hybrid capacity this year. This role reports directly to our Chief Growth Officer.
What You'll Do:
Create strategies for Infatuation to grow and diversify audiences across channels and cities, both by reaching new people and retaining existing users
Develop ways to elevate existing and new content into the best-performing dining content on the web
Build a team with specialists focused on email, SEO, syndication, paid web and social to start, and advise on future critical hires
Mentor and manage this Growth team via consistent 1:1s, coaching conversations, feedback, and performance reviews.
Evangelize best practices throughout the organization through effective communication and collaboration
Consult with, Editorial, Brand Marketing and Product teams to drive strategic initiatives
Prioritize data in all efforts and advocate data-centric thinking within the company
Who You Are:
Bachelor's Degree or greater
10+ years of audience/growth/marketing experience including management roles
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, including the ability to build and lead a team
Ability to effectively partner with other departments across the organization
Passionate about content and have a keen sense of what works well online
Fluency with a wide range of technical and publishing-focused growth disciplines (e.g. SEO)
Ability to parse through data to pull out insights that turn into action
A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly
